   New York (ots) - The European Commission today approved News 
Corporation's acquisition of 25.01 percent of the share capital of 
the leading German pay-TV operator, Premiere AG. The approval is 
subject to the commitment that third parties will continue to have 
access to Premiere's digital satellite platform in the same way as 
they currently do.

   The German Commission on Concentration in the Media ("Kommission 
zur Ermittlung der Konzentration im Medienbereich - KEK") approved 
the increase of News Corporation's stake in Premiere's share capital 
on June 11, 2008.

   News Corporation (NYSE: NWS, NWS.A; ASX: NWS, NWSLV) had total 
assets as of March 31, 2008 of approximately US$62 billion and total 
annual revenues of approximately US$32 billion. News Corporation is a
